UIA Data
Predictive Analytics Project
Leveraging deep data analysis to transform how we help students succeed.
Overview & Objective
Known as The Navigate U Initiative, this campus-wide effort aims to implement a foundational data platform that will revolutionize our operations and ability to help students succeed. With data and prediction powered by the EAB Navigate platform, we can map, understand, strategize, and implement intervention efforts like never before. Not only will we collect data on the overall student experience, but we'll also be able to assess students' individual journeys, allowing us to provide personalized resources students need to complete their degrees.
Partners
This project is a cross-campus collaboration between the Office of the President, Academic Affairs, individual Colleges and Departments, Student Affairs, the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, and the Health Sciences.

Status & Next Steps
This effort is in its first year of implementation.
Approach
After deep, extensive research on the student journey the team worked closely with multiple units and stakeholders to identify, build, and implement the new data + intelligence infrastructure. The intent is to bring previously disparate and competing efforts together to achieve the goal of an exceptional educational experience for all undergraduate students. As a result, we will make significant headway in addressing issues such as student retention, time to graduation, student belongingness, equity gaps in the curriculum and courses, and targeted faculty development.
Details
Dedicated resources for this project began to flow in Spring 2023 and project management initiated.
By May 2024 all college/school advising and many student support units will be operating within the Navigate platform to input data for increased tracking and support.
